What does SOS Children's Villages do in Belgium?

1 in 25 children grow up without the care and love of a parent in Belgium. SOS Children's Villages Belgium aims to support, welcome and accompany children and young people living in a difficult family situation. Your support concretely helps SOS Children's Villages Belgium to take care of these children through three projects.

The Simba Houses (Flanders): We offer a quick and adequate care to toddlers (0 to 3 years old) who are no longer safe in their families. About ten children are cared for by professional foster parents who focus on the development and well-being of the child. We also work intensively with the biological parents to generate positive changes and allow the children to return home safely.
The SOS Children's Villages Chantevent (Marche-en-Famenne): We welcome about fifty children and young people in a warm environment, both short and long term. We offer them a new home and personal support. We make sure as much as possible that siblings can stay together, even though they can no longer grow up at home.
The Hejmo House (Leuven): With the refugee crisis, we opened a home for unaccompanied minors where they can settle down, rebuild their lives and start to realize their life projects.
